I normally spray alcohol based aniline dye over nitro sealer that has been flat sanded. Seems like it would work fine to spray over unsanded nitro sealer also provided that it has been previously flattened.
Also, if there where sanded and unsanded areas adjacent to each other, would it show in the finish later? Hope I'm making sense here and that you guys can give me some feedback.
Thanks
Nelson

Nelson,
I spray my stain mixed in lacquer.
Doing it this way,it dosen't matter if you spray over sanded or unsanded areas.

Good point, Brad. I've always done it seperately except for toning the binding with a little lacquer/dye mix.
I normally have "plenty" of flat sanding to do after sealing so it's a mute point.
